The Robe of Behic Asci is send to Minister Cicek

The Lawyers Against Isolation have made the 22nd November at 13h00 a press statement about Behic Asci, the lawyer who is in hunger strike, in the front of the Galatasaray High School. After the press statement the lawyers have send the robe of lawyer Behic Asci to the minister of Justice Cemil Cicek. kalera.org

At the action that was dedicated for Behic Asci, who is for 232 days in hunger
strike, the lawyers carried placards with the next slogans: “Lawyer Behic Asci for
232 days in hunger strike against isolation”, “For a solution of the isolation
problem we demand a concrete step”, “Lawyer: Voice of the Law, Behic Asci: Voice
of the Defense, End The Isolation”.
“Our friend has been busy with lots of trials in his career. Lots of clients of
him have been for al long time in prison. While the F-Type prisgeçtiğini

isolation cells are against the human rights. He was one of the member of the
many and different committees for a solution against isolation, also before the
19th December operation (military operation to 21 prisons where 28 political
prisoners was killed) he tried to make public opinion for a solution” says the
lawyer Mihriban Kirdok at the meeting.
Kirdok says that Behic Asci was one of the witnesses who expired the isolation
from close and said the next about why they send the robe to the minister of
justice:
“We say, here you go Dear Minist er; See how heavy the responsibility is of Behic
Asci. Remember, you are also a lawyer. Understand what this robe has been seen
and witnessed. If you really don’t want to carry the responsibility in front of
the history and the conscience of people, you must dissolve the problem of
isolation and end the isolation.”

After the statement the lawyers shout slogans like “Behic Asci the Honor of the
Defence”, “Raise the Isolation, stop the dying”.
